What's the Buzz?

April 23rd - Technically, I didn't take this picture, but it's much more interesting than the picture of the pillow that I did take.  The kids like the Wonder Pets capes I made after all - hooray!

April 24th - Wonderful surprise today - a board member and friend sent me flowers for a job well done on last weekend's service project! Definitely made my day!

April 25th - I forgot to take a photo but was still enjoying the best tater-tots I've ever had...so this is a picture of my tummy, with the delicious tots inside.

April 26th - I have tulip envy - saw these on my morning walk in a neighbor's yard.

April 27th - It's spring again and I get to enjoy Mom's window pane while out on my patio in the afternoons.

April 28th - My Friend Maura and I had a very successful shopping trip downtown, complete with a pirate!

April 29th - My already cool dad is even cooler now that he's a bee keeper, and I got to help him check on the bees today.

I'm Back!

I had a little hiatus in the blogging because my internet was down last weekend and had a crazy busy week.  So here's two weeks worth of grateful pictures in one post.

April 9th - Started the week off right by going to Opening Day at Coors Field with the Dovetail crew.

April 10th - My latest project - my mosaic table.  Now I've got a pair.

April 11th - I ran into my friend Brooke today who I haven't seen for months! Very serendipitous.

April 12th - I had coffee with an advisory board member who really cheered up my grumps,

and then I came home and rode my bike to the wagon wheel bench and red for a while with a picnic dinner and wine.

April 13th - Magic get well cards - Corinne really believes that get well cards make her better.  She calls, I'll put one in the mail.

April 14th - I made Wonder Pet capes for the kids' birthdays.

April 15th - I had a quiet walk along a stretch of the High Line that only one other person knows about apparently.

April 16th - I am grateful for my instant stress-reliever - a Kellytini - Brendan's Irish Cream, Kahlua, Vanilla Vodka, and my invented martini shaker.

April 17th - Pots of colorful pansies outside the work windows.

April 18th - Lunch with Dad!

April 19th - Anna Dodson, a young lady who started Peruvian Hearts is amazing and inspirational!

April 20th - Corinne's soccer practice!  This is good entertainment.

April 21st - Connor's birthday! Connor and Corinne had a joint birthday pool party.

April 22nd - I am sore from working in my yard all morning, but my tulips are beautiful!

Happy Easter!

This has been a good week, with a great end.

April 2nd - I forgot to take a picture of dinner with Ryann from work tonight,so instead, I'm grateful for starting a new journal.  I always get a thrill over thinking what will fill these pages.

April 3rd - I am so grateful and excited for my new office with windows and daylight!!

April 4th - I get so excited to see friends that apparently I forget to pull out my camera! I forgot to take a picture of my friend Sonja tonight, so I have night-time wishes on dandelions instead.

April 5th - I had the opportunity to be found by a search and rescue dog today at a presentation at a school.  Very cool!

April 6th - My yard has exploded into pink blossoms, and the flowers in the sunset were beautiful.

April 7th - My Friend Katie's baby shower, and I reconnected with an old friend there too.

April 8th - Easter! Lots of good cuddles and cuteness with the kids, Easter egg hunts, and my Easter dessert, in honor of dad's garden project.

And the funniest part of the day - I was wearing a skirt and my legs were up on the table.  Corrinne had her hand on my shin, "Aunt Kewey, why do you have spikes on your wegs?" (I did shave - but got cold!!) When I explained it's hair, like on her daddy's face, she said "it's so pokey! Look, my hair is soft" and proceeded to show me her little arms. I swear my legs weren't that bad, she's just sensitive. :)

Happy Birthday Dad!

This has been a great week! I had Monday and Tuesday off, and Dad's birthday was yesterday.  I've got a lot of great pictures - see below.

March 26th - I had all sorts of plans to be outside today but it was so windy and smoky from the wildfire that I stayed inside.  So here's a picture of deliciousness - salted caramel biscotti.

March 27th - I got a new bike and went for a bike ride! This cute gazebo was along the trail, and a coyote was out for a morning stroll too.

And, I made a purse.

March 28th - Back at work and running errands, I saw this sign outside a shop downtown.

March 29th - On my way back from Loveland, I was able to catch this view of Denver before a truck pulled up next to me.

After work, I read on my back patio for a bit and got a few pics in my back yard.

March 30th, I hung out with my friend Jenica and her daughter Maddy.

March 31st - Dad's Birthday! We saw Bill Cosby at the Buell and joined our family friend Vince afterward at the Churchill in the Brown Palace for cigars and scotch.  I invented a Kellytini - Baileys, Kahlua, vanilla vodka.

April 1 - The whole family celebrated Dad's birthday today with burgers and Mom's rhubarb pie.  Here's Connor with the hose, intent on cooling us down.

Happy birthday Dad!
