365!

November 19th - I have a new fuzzy fleece from Old Navy.  Very Cuddle-able.

November 20th - I finished our company's Thanksgiving mailing - definitely thankful to be done with that!

November 21st - I love the pebbles that Mom and I collected on our trip to Cambria, California.  They're on my bathroom counter and they start my day off with a smile every morning.

November 22nd - Thanksgiving and the marker for 365 days of pictures of things that I'm grateful for - or make me happy, which in my world are one and the same.  I spent the day with my family.  Connor helped Papa put together the Old Smokey - until he got distracted by shinier things...

Corinne helped Gaga put ornaments on the tree Gaga got for Great Grandma, and Serenity was the family photographer.

And Ryan took a nap.

As for my 365 days...Here is the first installment of some of my favorites throughout the year.  Rather than more pictures of plants and pillows, I'm considering a new theme.  Not a picture everyday, but a few every week.  Perhaps of doors, architecture, nature....I'll keep you posted.  Thank you for following my grateful days with me all year!

Birds on a Wire

November 12th -I am grateful for a new warm - and cute coat, and that I have the money on hand to go out and buy one when I need it.

November 13th - The committee for one my programs met at Jonesy's Eat Bar tonight and I loved this wall. Great french fries too! The heart says, I am happy here.

November 14th - I love birds on telephone wires, just makes me happy to see, like music notes on a stave.

November 15th - When everything outside is browning up, my fern is growing, fresh and green.  (And I forgot to take a picture today. )

November 16th - Salted Caramel Hot Chocolates with my friend Lynds tonight...Marvelous!!

November 17th - A great day calls for lots of pictures: Delicious lunch at DBar - Food Network's Keegan Gerhardt's restaurant - with Maura and Eric.

After we lunch we went to the Museum of Nature and Science to go on an elf hunt.  The artist that painted a lot of the diaramas was told he couldn't sign his name, so he painted in elves instead.  The president of the museum then told him if he painted in any more, he'd be fired.  So his last elf is in the dinosaur exhibit, waving goodbye from the tail of a dinosaur.  Since then, the museum has embraced the elves and even added a couple ceramic ones in hidden places, and supplies a map to help you hunt for them.  I thought they were gnomes originally, which Kevin has a thing for, so he thought the hunt was a good surprise.  This elf was painted in the mural in the IMax lobby.  Can you see him?

Then we buzzed down to Castle Rock to see Dad sing with the Castle Rock Chorale at the star-lighting ceremony.  There is a giant start on top of Castle Rock that they light for the holidays every year.

November 18th - A beautiful November day today so Kevin and I went for a hike southwest of my house.  It's a great and scenic little loop.

Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! That will be 365 days of Grateful Pictures for me!

Keeping Points

November 5th - This was such a great way to start a Monday - to find this in my lunch!

November 6th - I went to Open Craft Night at the Fancy Tiger craft store, and Andrea helped me learn the fancy stitch to make my fancy scarf from my fancy silk yarn from California.  This is over the fireplace in the store.

November 7th - Hooray for getting to do arts and crafts at my job!  This is my bulletin board I made for Columbian Elementary to track their penny sacks.

November 8th - And hooray for getting to play games like the Penny Toss with the kids at Edison Elementary today.

November 9th - I am grateful for the fun and famous Blue Bear downtown.

November 10th - I am grateful for delicious meals from Kevin - that do not fit within my Weight Watchers points, but they're worth it!! This is butternut squash ravioli with a tomato cream sauce and shrimp!  He gets as many points for this meal as my hips do!

November 11th - Making up for last night's dinner with these 2 point Weight Watchers pumpkin muffins.  Deelicious! Box of Spice Cake mix, 15 oz can of pumpkin, 1 cup of water.  Bake at 350 for 20-24 minutes and enjoy!! (Really really moist)

Good friends, Good Views, Good Times

October 29th - I have the best job, which takes me to elementary schools like Columbian where I get to see their Penny Harvest kick-off assemblies which are so fun and creative.  Columbian has an Olympic theme this year and they carried torches with their 'cause' flags into the assembly.

October 30th - I was luck to catch this pic of the moon this morning as I was leaving my house for work.  Full or almost full, peaking out between the morning-tinted clouds.

October 31st - All the office dogs dressed up for Halloween.  Daisy's is a bronco, Sadie in the middle is a bumble bee, and Jackson is dressed as his owner's cat, Elway.

November 1st - I went to a Tradeschool Denver class where I learned how to make felted mittens!  These classes are so cool, started by these two gals - Laureen and Andrea - and they're free!  Anyone who knows how to do something and wants to teach others to do it puts on a class!

November 2nd - I had the privilege to take a tour of Judi's House today, an organization that helps kids and families work through grief over the death of a loved one.  As sad as it is, I'm grateful that a place like this exists - and it's a really neat place.

November 3rd - I am grateful for Snooze!! The Harvest Hash Benny and my friend Becca.  Good friends and good food make for a great combination.

November 4th - Kevin and I went on a beautiful hike in Golden and enjoyed a great fall day.
