Delicious Week!

August 20th - My porch is ready for fall with my new mums.

August 21st - Carly and Jan scored free Panera cookies for us after our meeting.  Very exciting!

August 22nd - Hmmm, rice krispie treat vs. plum.  Which will I choose?  (I found out later the plum wasn't a good one so I'd made a good choice.)

August 23rd - Nancy and I went to a Tradeschool Denver event, learning to make pizza and pie dough! It was so much fun and the most delicious pizza crust ever!! I just want to make a loaf of that with honey all over and I'd be in heaven!

Gabe taught us how to make the dough in his back yard where he has his own pizza oven...

... and a parrot.  That bites.

August 24th - I have baby watermelons growing!

These are the marigolds growing nearby to keep the bugs away.

August 25th - We went to Perfect Landing at Centennial Airport for Serenity's birthday breakfast and the kids liked watching the airplanes.

After a day of pedicures and catching up with a friend - who bought two of my latest purses! - I made delicious dinner from my garden, with a little help from Becca's with the yellow squash.  I picked my zucchini and the one in the middle is a French zucchini that I had to figure out how to cook.  Turns out it's kind of like a spagetti squash when cooked, but it needs to be peeled.  It's Delicious with butter.

With the other two squash, apples, ricotta cheese, sweet Italian sausage and pine nuts I made this little casserole which turned out to be Delicious too! A successful experiment!

August 26th - A long walk this morning on the Highline in Roxborough, and although I didn't see as much wildlife as last time, I got the first peek of Fall and it was good for my soul.

I almost made it to Waterton Canyon, the start of my Highline Canal trail, but my little section ended with a closure for a construction project.  Next weekend I'll  have to start in Waterton and close the gap.

There is a TV antenna behind the pine tree on this little cabin.

Inspired by a photographer I follow in England, I had some fun in the carwash.

It's been a delicious week!  And I'm so ready for FALL!!
